Penmaen Stream
İPaul Edwards 2009
Taken on a frosty morning in December 2009, at NGR SS5347888202, on a walk back from Three Cliffs Bay towards Penmaen, south Gower. This stream joins Pennard Pill as it flows into the bay. I used a polarising filter to reduce glare and allow the pattern of the stream sediment to be seen, which was what drew my eye to this picture. Soft diffuse sunlight also helped to reduce the contrast. Canon EOS 40D, Canon EF-S 10-22mm lens, Manfrotto tripod. Exposures F11 at 1/8sec and 0.4sec combined. Original images in Raw format, resolution 3456 x 2592 pixels after cropping to 4x3 format as seen. Available as 10.7" x 8" print for £15 inc. P&P in UK.
